Comments: Election Season?

I concur with pretty much everything you wrote here, which makes me wonder why most Ottawa pundits can't see this? Is it just the constant fixation on elections, particularly in a minority parliament?
I especially agree with the combination of points 1 and 4. Harper is showing just how effective a minority parliament can be run. During Martin's minority, I think we all had the sense that it was pretty amateurish but we had nothing since Pearson with which to compare. Harper is showing just how innefective Martin was - and I for one like the change but am not yet sure I'm ready for a Harper majority - especially with the current situation functioning just fine.
