Comments: Yikes
I think I could cry! I've never worked on any campaign nearly as much as I worked on Dianne Cunningham's reelection campaign for London-North, and her defeat honestly hit me at a personal level. Deb Matthews, the liberal candidate who stole the seat, is NOT a liberal, she is an outright socialist.
The only thing I can say is I'm optimistic about the Tories regrouping under Jim Flaherty. Hopefully Dalton won't do TOO much damage in the mean time.

The next four years are going to be tough ones for Ontario. Things are not going to go well - taxes will go up and who knows how many pledges Dalton will go back on.
However, in one way, things will seem better. We're going to see the converse of Taranto's "Homelessness Rediscovery Watch." The press are going to start reporting that things are getting better. Things won't be, though.
Thanks for your hard work Chuck. I was hard at work in Scarborough, tyring to get Marilyn Mushinski re-elected. But it was not to be.
We'll be back, though.
